Shipping costs are based on weight and destination. You can select your preferred service at the checkout.
Free Standard Shipping across BC: Orders over $150 ship free within British Columbia (excluding remote postal codes). Exclusions apply for oversizes items.

International Shipping
We ship to most international destinations. Delivery times average 5-7 weeks depending on customs processing and destination country.
International shipping costs are calculated by package weight and destination. You'll see the exact cost at checkout.
Important: You are responsible for any customs fees, import duties, and taxes required by your country. These vary widely by destination—contact your local customs office for specific information. Customs clearance can extend delivery times beyond our estimates.
USA Shipping: We're currently unable to ship to the United States due to ongoing trade regulation challenges. We're working to resolve this and hope to restore USA shipping soon.
Free In-store Pickup
Skip the wait and the shipping costs.
Order online and pick up your items at either campus location—it's always free.
Bring photo ID and your order confirmation email when you arrive.
Orders are held for 30 days after notification—unclaimed orders will be refunded less a 25% handling fee.
How it works
Returns & Exchanges
Eligible items have a return period of 30 calendar days, and can be made at one of our locations or initated online.
Online
You can initiate a return or exchange request through your account. If your items aren't eligible for return, the option won't appear.
Submit your request:
- Click "Request return" next to the order you'd like to return
- Select which items you're returning (if your order has multiple items)
- Choose a return reason and add any details that will help us process your request
- Click "Request return" to submit
What happens next:
Once your return is approved, you'll receive an email with shipping instructions. As outlined in our refund policy, you're responsible for return shipping costs. Your refund will be processed after we receive and inspect the returned item.
How it works
Gift Cards
Due to a switch in systems, UBC Bookstore is currently operating two gift card systems - one for in-store and online textbook purchases, and one for our web store.
Physical gift cards purchased at one of our locations cannot be used online. If you have a giftcard and are unable to use it in-person, please contact us for assistance.
Online gift cards purchased through this website can only be used on this website. This is a digital gift card which lives within your customer account.
